Caffe Calabria-One of Thrillist’s Favorite Pizza Spots in San Diego
Thrillist just published it’s list of the 19 best pizza places in San Diego… One of them is my perosnal favorite-one of the places I have highlighted here before. Here is what the thrillist has to say:

Using old-school methods established by the Associazione Vera Pizza Napoletana, Caffe Calabria’s puffy, charred and uber-thin crisp crust is baked for 60-90 seconds in a 905-degree, oak wood-fired oven. There’s no wrong choice here, but the Salsiccia is an absolute knockout, made with organic San Marzano tomatoes, fior di latte, Grana Padano, and house-made fennel sausage, under a scattering of fresh basil leaves. Just remember that pizza’s only served Wednesday through Sunday, and plan accordingly.
How to order: Indoor dining is available on a first-come basis.
So what do I have to say? This is the closest thing to the pizza of Naples that I have eaten in the US. Caffe Calabria is AMAZING! Every single pizza is spectacular AND they have one of the 1000 Things to Eat Before you Die-Bicherin which is a coffee with nutela. What is not to like about that?
