Duff’s Doggz: Carmel Mountain Road Hotdogs

There is a hotdog stand in the Home Depot parking lot on Carmel Mountain road that has been there for years called Duff’s Doggz . Every time I shop at Home Depot, I notice they have a line and since hotdogs are not my thing, I found it curious. Finally, the curiosity overcame me and I broke down and had a pastrami dog.  It is true that pastrami would make almost all things better but the star of the hotdog was not that, it was the perfectly caramelized onions and the judicious-but present-celery salt.  It was an outstanding hotdog.  I have a husband who does love his hotdogs but he is a purist and really doesn’t like much on them. I took him there last week (and had the pastrami dog again) but he had the plain hotdogs with a hot pepper relish. He is also a fan.  For anyone how likes a hotdog (and even for those of us who aren’t as great of fans), this is a spot worth visiting.  I’ll be back again-most likely this weekend!
