So I will concede that my blog has been a mess for about six months.  I needed to update my “theme” which, from the written descriptions was really daunting. Until I did the blog would go down, come back up, go down, etc.  Mostly it was broken.  To update the them, there were five main steps, each with about 1000 sub steps. I put it off and off and off.  I finally broke down and did it and it was quite simple.  I am back up and running again.  Yeah! So here Is my first post with the new theme…

San Diego got a Mochinut Donut store on Convoy street earlier this year. This chain  has stores scattered around the US, Korea and Thailand and now San Diego has a store.   I saw the notice about the Convoy branch but am not really the biggest donut fan.  The fact that they are made with rice flour didn’t really sell it for me.  Ivan brough home six and the flavor descriptions didn’t really spark confidence.  This is, until I ate the first one. After that I was hooked.  The thing about these donuts is that they are nothing like other donuts-they are crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. Their website calls them stretchy and I think that is the best word to describe what it is like to eat one-stretchy in your mouth.  They are not overly sweet and the flavors such as Vietnamese coffee or churro are really different-at times strange-but interesting.  All I can say is give Mochinut a taste and you will be hooked, too.

You heed to understand the difference between want and need. Like I want abs but I need donuts.
