Soy on Ice-Hiyayakko

So this is one that you shouldn’t miss although I don’t think the descripiton is really accuate. Of course, it is a 1000 Things Food and is described as very, very fressh tofu on ice with shaved garlic, sallions and bonito flakes on the top. It is certianly a cold dish and one that is perfect for a hot day. Now that I have heard of it, I have found it on many a sushi menu. When the price seems high, it is good to remember taht bonito flakes are pricey-to the degree that they are oftan a wedding gift for a new bride and groom. Maybe Soy on Ice doesn’t SOUND amazing, but when one of these cubes melts in your mouth, you WILL BE amazed!
