I know I have already posted this but am adding a new bit to this post this year.  Elena, Michelle & Kristen Ballantyne and I attended September 2018.  This is my third year in a row and each year I think this fundraiser gets better and better….  Pinks was there again-I love them and have posted my admiration in a blog post about them.  Roy Garcia had amazing food and d Bracia Lopez was a new favorite.  The best thing about this event is that it is not only for a good cause but that the food is amazing!!!!

This is not really a place but a thing but it is an event that occurs annually.  Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation “is a national childhood cancer foundation dedicated to raising funds for research into new treatments and cures for all children in battling cancer”. This event grew out of one front yard lemonade stand run by Alex Scott who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma.  This small lemonade stand has spawned a serious of annual events including the one held in southern California.   In LA each September and event call L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade is held each year. I have had the good fortune of attending the past three years and have tickets to attend this year as well.  This event is held on the campus of UCLA and brings superstar chefs and mixologists from all over the US to one location for you to try their food and know that your ticket price is going towards an amazing foundation.

It’s simple, you see, for this whole thing is not about me. As long as kids are sick, I’ll do what I can, to help raise money through my Lemonade Stands.
