If you have been selling hot dogs in LA  since 1939 where every second corner has a celebrity chef, you must be doing something right.  And they are.  The original owners retired in 1985 and the second generation is keeping up the tradition of creating delicious combinations that work.

Nobody, I mean nobody, puts Ketchup on a hot dog.   – Clint Eastwood

I am pretty certain Mr. Eastwood is not correct about that but when at Pinks, you would be an idiot to put ketchup on when you have the option of getting a reuben dog or a philadelphia cheesesteak dog.  I am pretty certain my favorite is the polish pastrami dog. They add swiss cheese and pastrami to an already wonderful polish dog.

Not only do they make wonderful hotdogs but they have been contributors to LA Loves Alex’s Lemonade stand which helps raise money for pediatric cancer research and treatment.
