Dumplings you can buy at Trader Joe’s

Trader Joe options

So still on the dumpling hunt..  While these are not the most difficult to find, there are quite a few interesting options from Trader Joe’s…. Each of these made the CNN list of dumplings to try.

Soup dumplings: These are not as good as the ones you get at the dumpling in but these come frozen so can live in your freezer to be had at all hours day or night.

Lobster Ravioli

Ravioli:  Pre-made ravioli are easily found in every grocery store but Trader Joe’s has a really beautiful and delicious red and yellow striped lobster version that is pretty yummy.

Gnocchi:  You have a few different versions to select from.  Gnocchi alla Sorrento have long been one of my favorites. I do love gnocchi in most all forms but the sauce is light but flavorful.

Trader Joe Options #2

Pelmini:  These chicken and mushroom Russian-style dumplings are pretty darn good.  They have become one of my new-TJ’s favorite dinner food groups.  Boil for a few minutes and throw a dollop of sour cream or yogurt on top and dinner is served.  The Russians got this one right-they are just the right size for a single bite and they come cook in minutes.

Samosas & Chutney

Gyoza:  There are multiple versions to be had a trader joe’s, so I picked the shrimp ones which I pan fried in sesame oil.  I do know that all things fried in sesame oil are delicious but the shrimp also adds s nice touch.

Samosas: I tried the vegetarian version and paired them with the Trader Joe chutney.  They go down pretty fast, you might want to buy two packages (or more).
