Cinnamon Granita is listed in the 1000 Foods to Eat Before You Die book.  Interesting as this is only cinnamon, sugar and water that is frozen and then scraped to make a very fine ice power.  We opted to make this on a very hot day last week but used watermelon juice, too.  Served in nice glasses, this is not only elegant but super refreshing.  Not to give up on a good idea, we added booze to the mixture, froze in ice cubes and have had with prosecco poured over the top. Who said we couldn’t improve upon an old Italian classic?
