The Rialto Fish Market (La Pescaria) of Venice and Adriatic Scampi

When entering Venice’s famous fish market, one of the things you see are Adriatic Scampi. Not shrimp, they are a mini lobster that is identified as a 1000 Thing to Eat.  Simple to prepare, split in half, brushed with e a little butter, garlic and lemon, quickly grilled and you are good to go.   One of the places known  Adriatic scampi, is a fish restaurant housed in an old post office directly behind the fish market.  Known for the freshness of their fish (they can literally walk outside the restaurant and grab what they need) both Elena and I tried the scampi.   Another 1000 thing off the list.
