Dumpling inn-soup dumplings to die for….

I will eat almost any type of food surrounded by dough. I love pierogi, ravioli, mandu, samosa.  One of my most favorite articles on the web is a CNN Article that lists all of the many dumplings in the world.  One of the most delicious are Xio Long Bao or chinese soup dumplings.  You might have had the ones they sell at costco or seen them on a dim sum menu but to really enjoy them, you need a real dumpling restaurant. My favorite in San Diego is the Dumpling Inn. My family and I have been going since they were a tiny, little place where the wait took hours.  Thankfully, the Dumpling Inn expanded into a much larger space.  My favorites other than the soup dumplings?  Beef Curry (fried) and steamed shrimp and pork dumplings.  This being said, soup dumplings are still my favorite. Wonder how they get the soup in the dumplings? They create gelatinous balls from the broth and wrap the dough around the jelly ball.  What to make your own?
