Pumpkin Time: LA’s Milk Bar

So I am not sure if I ever REALLY loved Halloween the way other people did.  I liked the costumes and getting candy was great but I am not certain it was all that for me.  I was not ever a fan of pumpkin pie and while I enjoyed carving pumpkins, it was always a holiday I could take or leave. Then, after moving o San Diego and being evacuated or having Halloween occur as ash from forest fires rained down from the sky, I became even less enamored. 

Still not a fan of the holiday, BUT  as an adult, I learned about things like pumpkin sponge cake or pumpkin bread pudding-and don’t’ forget Starbuck’s Pumpkin Spiced Latte. All these wonderful holiday treats did help me to begin to enjoy the season.
