Potato Borek with Sour Cream

One of my favorite things about our trip to Istanbul was watching people make Borek, Manti dumplings and Turkish Baklava in the store fronts. I haven’t had any of these same delicious treats since that trip in 2007 but not only are all three in Mimi’s book but my new favorite place-Atlas Market in Poway-has them all. I brought the Manti home to cook, served with yogurt-garlic sauce and a paprika-butter topping). Manti is #4 on the CNN dumpling list. I pawed through the many frozen Borek options to settle on potato which I baked for lunch today. I ordered several of the baklava and baklava-like treats to try. Go to Atlas Market.
